UPDATE: RCT additional lockdown restrictions
Sep 16, 2020, 2:39 pm

RCT have imposed additional lockdown measures. We have been advised that organised club activities can continue for people residing in the county.

Travelling into or out of the county in lockdown is not permitted. So if players or volunteers would travel in from other counties please be advised that this is not permitted at this time.

For those who are attending from within the county, it is essential that you review the Self Declaration Statement before attending training.

Thank you for your continued support.

Back on Court!
Sep 3, 2020, 11:29 am

We welcomed back all of our age groups back to training last Saturday. It was a joy to see our players back on court.

Tigers' support teams have worked hard behind the scenes to ensure our return to play was a safe one.

We continue to work with Basketball Wales to ensure we follow guidelines and update our systems accordingly.

Thank you to our players, volunteers and parents who continue to support Tonyrefail Tigers.

Outdoor Basketball Courts Re-Open
Jun 21, 2020, 1:03 pm

Mar 24, 2020, 10:45 pm

Following on from the initial 2 week postponement of all basketall activities announced on 13/03/2020, and in the light of the growing threat to public health that the Coronavirus now poses, the SW Basketball League Management Committee have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of the season.

Mar 14, 2020, 11:09 pm

In support of the nation’s steps to manage the outbreak of the covid19/Coronavirus, Basketball Wales and SWBA (South Wales Basketball Association) have released statements during the last 24 hours advising that all basketball activities by postponed for an initial period of two weeks.

All CVL, final fours and league games have been cancelled for the remainder of the season.

Tonyrefail Tigers will follow BW and SWBA recommendations. Therefore, we have suspended our provision including training and fixtures for the foreseeable future.

We understand how disappointing this decision is for our players and their families, but the health and safety of our members is paramount.

We will continue to monitor the situation and act upon the advice and guidance of the NGB, BW and SWBA. We will keep you informed of any updates.

Thank you for your continued support.

Tigers U18 lose Cup Final
Feb 16, 2020, 11:31 pm

The Tigers U18 team lost their SWBA Cup Final match to Cardiff Archers U18 last Sunday at the Llandarcy Centre for Sport in Neath. It was a tough match for the Tigers who were  overpowered by the big and experienced Archers team, who have not lost a game in Wales this season and who also play every week in the English Premier U18 Division. Still it was a big achievement for a small club like ours to reach the Final and we are proud of the players and coach Tony Berry for their efforts.

2019-2020 Season
Aug 9, 2019, 4:23 pm

Training has resumed from 05/08/2019.

This season we have entered all age groups in the South Wales League but we do not currently have enough players at U10 and are short of players at if you know of any kids who would like to give the game a go and who will not have reached their 10th birthday (or 14th birthday) by 01/09/2019, then please ask them to come along on a Monday between 5-6pm.

Kit....the club currently provides playing kit for its players, but we do ask that every player purchases a Tigers warm up T shirt (which they can personalise with their own name) to wear over their club kit whilst they warm up for matches. These can be purchased by  clicking on the online store, where you will also see other items bearing the club logo and which can also be personalised for each player.
