Buying the right size basketball
Sep 8, 2021, 10:36 am

Thinking of buying a basketball for your child ?

It is important that the ball you buy is appropriate to their age as this will improve their handling and shooting skills.

  • Ages 5 - 8     = Size 4
  • Ages 9 - 11   = Size 5
  • Ages 12 - 13  = Size 6 * (girls use the size 6 basketball from age 12 to adult)
  • Ages 14+      = Size 7

National 'firebreak' lockdown.
Oct 20, 2020, 1:22 pm

The First Minister announced today that Welsh Government will be initiating a ‘fire break’ lockdown for Wales starting at 6pm on Friday 23rd October.

As a result of the guidelines and restrictions put in place, we have no choice but to suspend basketball temporarily.

It has been noted that this lockdown ends on Monday 9th November. All being well with the exit arrangements we will reinstate our training sessions that week.

We will keep you up to date on any changes via our WhatsApp groups, Facebook and our website.

We thank you for your continued support of the club.

Tigers return to home court
Oct 20, 2020, 1:15 pm

Tigers have now returned to home court at Tonyrefail Leisure Centre!

Although training looks different at the moment due to the extra restrictions, it is great to see the enthusiam and energy from all of our age groups on court.

It has been fantastic to see the return of our seasoned Tigers and welcome lots of new players and volunteers in various age groups.

UPDATE: RCT additional lockdown restrictions
Sep 16, 2020, 2:39 pm

RCT have imposed additional lockdown measures. We have been advised that organised club activities can continue for people residing in the county.

Travelling into or out of the county in lockdown is not permitted. So if players or volunteers would travel in from other counties please be advised that this is not permitted at this time.

For those who are attending from within the county, it is essential that you review the Self Declaration Statement before attending training.

Thank you for your continued support.
